Health Canada is warning consumers to not use Harmony, a male sexual enhancement capsule, because it may pose serious health risks. Harmony is promoted as a herbal product for male virility. It was authorized as a natural health product, but Health Canada testing found it contains high levels of a prescription erectile dysfunction drug, tadalafil.
Health Canada is advising Canadians to take precautions to prevent the unintentional exposure of young children to adult acetaminophen easy-to-swallow tablets following multiple incident reports to poison control centres. These tablets are red and sweet tasting, may seem like candy to young children, and can be packaged in bottles with a red, gear-shaped cap that is designed for easy opening and may seem like a toy.
Health Canada is advising Canadians about unauthorized health products that may pose serious health risks. The table below is updated when Health Canada finds unauthorized health products that are promoted for sexual enhancement, weight loss, as a workout aid, as “poppers,” or for lightening skin or treating skin conditions (such as eczema or psoriasis). These products are labelled to contain or have been tested and found to contain dangerous ingredients. Links to previous tables with affected products are also available below.
